Service · Off-Track Realignment

Off-track sliding door realignment.

A panel that's jumped or fallen off the track is heavy and dangerous to muscle back. We lift it safely, realign it, and fix why it came off in the first place.

Short answer: An off-track door is almost always a symptom of worn rollers or a damaged track. We safely remove the panel with suction lifts, correct the root cause, and re-seat it so it stays on the track.

Why it happened

Panels don't leave the track for no reason. Usually the rollers wore down or seized, letting the panel drop until it climbed out of the channel; sometimes a bent track or a forced DIY attempt did it. Fixing only the position without the cause means it happens again.

Please don't force it

A single glass panel can weigh 80–200 lbs. Prying or muscling it back risks a warped frame, a shattered pane, or an injury. If your door is off the track, leave it in place and call.

How we put it right

  1. Assess whether rollers, track, or both caused it
  2. Protect the area and lift the panel with proper suction tools
  3. Replace worn rollers and service or cap the track as needed
  4. Re-seat the panel and adjust roller height
  5. Confirm it slides, seats, and locks correctly

Repair or replace?

Off-track panels are a repair, not a replacement — the glass and frame are typically fine. The parts that failed are the ones we replace.

Cost, time & coastal note

Cost depends on what caused it and which parts are replaced. Coastal doors in St. Augustine Beach and the island communities come off the track sooner because salt-air corrosion kills rollers faster. More on the fix in this guide.

Off-Track Realignment FAQs

Questions homeowners ask first.

Almost always. We realign the panel and fix the worn rollers or track that let it come off — the door itself rarely needs replacing.
It's a safety issue because of the glass weight and the open security gap. We prioritize these and answer 24/7.
We strongly advise against it — the panels are extremely heavy and easy to break or drop. Call instead.
Because the underlying cause (worn rollers or a damaged track) wasn't fixed. We address the root cause, not just the symptom.
